Water Conservation Ordinance
Lomita enacted a new water conservation ordinance in 2009.  Click here to learn about the new requirements and to read the full ordinance.

Water Saving Tips 

  • Fix leaky faucets and you could save 20 gallons of water a day.
  • A standard clothes washer uses about 41 gallons of water, so only wash full loads of laundry.
  • Save 3 gallons of water a day just by turning of the faucet while you are brushing your teeth!
  • Use of broom instead of the hose to clean of sidewalks and driveways.
  • Check you sprinkler system for leaks and broken sprinkler heads.
