Lomita's Saving Water!

  The City of Lomita has adopted a new Water Conservation Ordinance.

EFFECTIVE APRIL 1, 2009:

•You may only water your lawn between 8 pm and 10 am.

•Sidewalks, driveways and other non-pervious areas may only be cleaned or washed using a hand-held bucket or a waterbroom.

•Vehicles may only be washed using a hand-held bucket and a hose equipped with a positive action quick release shut off nozzle.

•Lomita restaurants will only serve water upon request.

•Old plumbing fixtures must be replaced with new water conserving fixtures when a property is:

•sold;

•has a residential addition over 250 square feet;

•or has a commercial improvement with a valuation over $20,000.
