Since 2009, the City has been awarded two grants from West Basin Municipal Water District totaling over $16,000. The goal for each garden was to redesign the landscape using efficient irrigation and drought tolerant plants in order to reduce water use and eliminate run-off. Both gardens reduce water usage by over 70% and feature plant identification signs for each type planted.  These plants are affordable and readily available at local nurseries.
